One of my favourite pastimes is drawing and painting. I most often make scientific illustrations of insects. For these illustrations, usually I use watercolour and watercolour pencils on aquarelle paper. Sometimes I use only graphite. Additionally, I really like to try new artistic techniques.
It was a great honour for me when one of my illustrations was published in September 2019 on the cover of Hungarian Entomological Society’s journal: Entomological news. This illustration was made of a beetle, Rhynchophorus ferrugineus, whose first individual was found in Hungary at that time. After that, my illustrations appeared in every published issue until December 2021.
My illustrations were awarded on XLI and XLII Hungarian Entomology Days (an annual event of the Hungarian Entomological Society) in 2019 and 2020.
